Adult FAQs

If you’re thinking about joining us as an adult volunteer you may have some questions – here are some of the more common ones.

The best way forward is definitely to contact us and let’s have a chat over a brew though – there are many roles available and they can suit nearly anyone!

Can anyone become a volunteer?

We welcome all responsible adults (aged 20 or above), male or female, from all social backgrounds, cultures and religions. You don’t need any prior military experience, just enthusiasm and a sense of team work!

Will I need to have a police check?

Yes – anyone that works with children must be willing to undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service check. This is a legal requirement to ensure that we safeguard the children in our care correctly.

I think I might be interested. What now?

Get in touch with us here – and we’ll invite you to come visit and meet us, and discuss how/where you’d like to volunteer!
